Senior R&D manager

Your Contribution
As the Senior R&D Manager, you will be responsible for leading R&D initiatives, overseeing a team of engineers, and ensuring that projects align with the company’s strategic goals. The role involves managing the development of new products, enhancing existing ones, and fostering a culture of innovation.
- Lead and manage the R&D team and its personnel, achieving project goals.
- Oversee all R&D projects from concept to launch, setting timelines and ensuring they are adhered to.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product success.
- Provide technical expertise and technical issue solving to the respective teams whenever necessary.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and MAHLE product development procedures.
- Monitor and report on project progress and performance, risks, and recommendations to senior management.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement of product cost.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and careers.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs and preferences.
- Implement best practices in project management and product development.
- Drive the adoption of new tools and technologies to improve efficiency.
- Support the commercialization of new products and technologies.
- Stay updated on automotive thermal technology trends and advancements.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- 10 years or more of experience in development of complex air conditioning and powertrain cooling products for passenger and commercial vehicles, esp. in NEV application preferred.
- Familiar with the development process and standards related to automotive industry components
- Proven experience in a relevant role, with a strong background in leading R&D projects, managing cross-functional teams, and driving innovation to support the company’s strategic goals.
- Strong capabilities in coaching & management
- Structured and autonomous working style
- Good communication and team driven skills
- Fluent English language skills
