Corporate Accounting Expert

Your role & responsibilities:

• Responsible group accountant for selected countries of the MAHLE group. In charge of questions regarding group accounting and the preparation of the group reporting package of those specific countries
• Research support regarding special accounting questions (recognition and disclosure in single-entity financial statements or consolidated financial statements)
• Assist in the audit and review of reporting data & early warning processes 
• Perform/support with the preparation (including responsibility for a consolidation step) of the consolidated statutory financial statements and notes for actual, quarterly, half-year closing & year end closing as well as for planning purposes
• Prepare analysis for the consolidated financial statements and support the team with the preparation of presentations for the Management- and Supervisory Board and other Stakeholders
• Participation in projects (IT-topics, accounting topics)
• Participation in maintaining and updating the reporting systems and Excel-based tools.
• Contact person for external auditors

Your skills & strengths:

• University degree in accounting / controlling / finance
• Several years of professional experience in the area of accounting / controlling / finance
• Strong general ledger accounting understanding and expertise (German GAAP, IFRS)
• Good analytical and professional skills
• Detail oriented, independent and systematic working style
• Strong IT skills (MS-Office, esp. Excel, Powerpoint /  SAP)
• Excellent business English and German language skills
• Willingness to travel
• Team player, flexibility, and willingness to take over responsibility in an international work environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
