Commodity Buyer

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Commodity Buyer for active and passive electronic components for Europe – handling of all responsibilities and operative tasks for the affected material groups, including the following tasks and responsibilities:
• Creation and implementation of Business Plan.
• Generation and implementation of cost reduction measurements.
• Price and contract negotiations with suppliers.
• Implementation of material group strategy for electronic components as well as saving potentials within Europe in alignment with the Lead Buyer.
• Support of logistics in case of shortages, implementation of consignment stock, etc.
• Conduct benchmarks on a regular base.
• Interface to project buying.
• Operative tasks (maintenance of prices, reporting of saving activities, etc).
• Development of material group strategies for regional material groups.

Your Skills & Strengths

• Master or at least Bachelor of science in Engineering or Economics.
• 3 years purchasing experience, preferable in the area of Electronic components.
• Fluent in English at a Business level. Spanish or other languages are a plus.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Target oriented and assertiveness.
• Good skills in MS Office and SAP.
