Product Development Laboratory Coordinator

Your Role & Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure all suppliers are meeting the control process requirements of MAHLE and our customers in terms of ISO accreditation, TISAX, GDPR etc.
  • Prepare orders for samples and ensure control processes for these parts meet the engineering requirements.
  • Liaise with the manufacturing sites to monitor the production schedules, and availability of these samples with the tests planned.
  • Perform and coordinate precision measurements of received components, and ensure supplier measurements and control parameters are meeting the correlation requirements required for the product tolerances
  • Record all data entry (dimensional and functional measurements, specific product/process characteristics) into the tracking system.
  • Read and interpret the specifications of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing(GD&T), and functional key characteristics of the samples.
  • Ensure all customer confidentiality requirements are met and continually adhered to.
  • Comply with all local safety requirements and maintain a clean, orderly storage and working area.

Your Skills & Strengths

  • Minimum educational background HNC, BTEC-Meas Eng, BAC+3 Technical, Formation Professional
  • A high level mechanical or technical background with a deep understanding of machining metal, by lathe, milling or casting.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and prints.
  • Toolmaking experience would be an essential asset.
  • Fluency in English - German, Spanish, French would be a plus.
  • Quality control processes, Metal machining, CNC preferred Working
  • Experience in metal work and quality control processes is a strong asset.
  • Training or high level knowledge of GD&T 
  • Knowledge of measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, depth gage, torque wrench, etc. - Knowledgeable with PC’s, email and MS Office application
  • Employees must be able to work additional hours and/or additional days during the working week which can be in excess of forty (40) hours per week. Employee must be open to a 2nd or 3rd shift assignment if required during employment.
