Supplier Quality Engineer - Elastomers

As a Supplier Quality Engineer - Elastomers in MAHLE you will be globally responsible to ensure that only high qualify producing suppliers are released.

How can you become part of our success? 

• Assessment and approval of suppliers (initial release) and supplier production processes.
• Perform supplier audits and supplier assessments, define development actions plans including follow-up and effectiveness checks.
• Coordination of APQP activities for supplied parts in the context of innovation and pre-development projects.
• Perform process, risk and quality audits at suppliers, including development, implementation, tracking and monitoring of effectiveness of supplier corrective actions.
• Problem solving tracking (e.g. 8D method, Pareto, lessons learned…).
• Active contribution in teams to develop and implement supplier strategies.
• Team work with purchasing, project teams, plants and central functions.
• Support of preparation, review and release of Quality agreements with suppliers.
• Supplier visits/meetings (including travel as needed).
• Internal and external reporting including related activities.
• Collaboration in projects and documentation/presentation of results.
   

What skills do you need? 

• Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or a similar major.
• At least three years´experience in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge in polymer components, especially elastomers.
• Certified auditor for. VDA 6.3 or IATF 16949 and first experiences as a 2nd party auditor.
• Knowledge in applying AIAG or VDA core tools (FMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC, 8D-Reporting).
• Basic knowledge in SAP R/3, MS Office.
• Business-fluent English language skills, further language skills desirable.
• Willingness to travel.
