Scope of the job: a brief description of your role as a general
Direct report to Product System Development Engineer.
Indirect report to Product System Development Team Leader.
The main tasks of the Product System Customer and Plant Support Engineer are:
- Failure analysis before Start Of Production (example: understand context of failure in customer testbenches or customer validations, like vehicle environment).
- 3rd level analysis after Start Of Production (example: part rejected in the production line or complex customer claim not managed by the Quality Team in the Production Plant).
- Provide support in the production plant during project ramp-up phase.
- Resident engineers at customer facilities (example: understand the context of failure or software reflash campaigns).
- Initiate the 8D report aligned with the Quality Department.
- Troubleshooting of product issues.
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Technical coordination with the Product System Development Engineer.
- Support to the Product System Development Engineer to prepare material for customer technical topics and participation in customer technical meetings if needed.
- Understand relationships and dependencies with the different transversal domains during product integration (Schematic – e-Layout – Mechanics and Software).
- Collaboration with other departments involved in the project.
- Understand and improve complete product and testing framework (laboratory testing equipment, interfaces, diagnostics, loads, cooling, etc…).
- Technical support for customer and production plant.

Your Skills & Strengths
- (Critical) Degree in Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Physics or similar. Superior FP2 with specialty in electronics is also valid for this position.
- (Critical) English (B2).
- (Critical) Spanish (C1).
- (Desirable) German.
- (Desirable) French.
- (Critical) Technical background in electronics testing.
- (Requiredl) Microsoft Office Package.
- (Desirable) Altium Designer.
- (Critical) Technical background using laboratory instrumentation and test setups: CANoe, INCA, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, power supplies, electronics loads, spectrum analyser, …
- (Critical) Cross functional communication.
- (Required) Electronics problem resolution.
- (Required) Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes.
- (Desirable) Knowledge of Automotive SPICE processes.
- (Desirable) Use to do reporting to management.
- (Required) Previous experience in electronics testing.
- (Desirable) Previous experience in direct contact with customer and production.
- (Desirable) Experience in the automotive sector and power electronics.
