NVH Test Engineer
Your Role & Responsibilities
The Compressor NVH engineer will be responsible for the standards of vibroacoustic quality of compressor products and
compressor designs using various testing methods and product reviews.
Responsible for defining, planning, documenting, analyzing, and reporting on tests and results for new developments
and current products.
- Propose solutions to optimize the vibroacoustic performance of current and new compression mechanisms.
- Develop test procedures for understanding the NVH performance of compression devices.
- Responsible for specification, design and training related to NVH testing apparatus and methods.
- Assist with preparation and execution of test units.
- Analyse test data and organize results relative to internal or customer specifications.
- Prepare and summarize reports, presentations, and technical recommendation for both internal and external
customers. - Apply engineering practices to reach design solutions.
- Participate in innovation, product cost and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional teams related to customer program launch activity.
- Research and assist in resolution of NVH issues with customers and facilities; respond to issues arising during all
program phases. - In certain program launches it may be required a 2 or 3 shift working pattern. Normal shift will be day.
Your Skills & Strengths
- BS (MS or PHD preferred) in mechanical, electrical engineering or NVH specialty
- A proven track record of dealing with noise and vibration analysis and testing.
- Understanding of principles of static and dynamic balancing, mechanics of materials, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, strengths of materials, thermodynamics, physics, and engineering design.
- Preferred minimum of 3 years of component and/or vehicle NVH experience.
- Experience in air conditioning systems is desired.
- Experienced user of LMS TestLab, B&K tools, Artemis SUITE Modules or equivalent NVH acquisition systems.
- Familiar with Matlab, SIMULINK, ANSYS, Nastran or equivalent CAE tools.
- English fluent, German and Spanish would be a plus.
