Head of Supplier Quality Electric/Electronics

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Managing the Supplier Quality of the commodity Electrics/Electronics before and after SOP (SQA-D & SQA-I E/E in MAHLE Thermal).

• Aim to solve issues and help other departments to reach their targets.
• Be the interface between the Purchasing, Development and Preventive Quality departments.
• Coordinate escalation processes by creating a problem solving team and following up with actions.
• Coordinate an international team to ensure Supplier Quality Excellence for all customers of SQA(projects, Project Purchasing, plants, etc.).
• Manage actions to secure the quality goals of suppliers to improve customer satisfaction andreduce quality and field costs.
• Evaluation of potential new suppliers for parts / components by VDA 6.3 potential analyses incoordination with SQA-C (global & x-BU SQA).
• Representation of Supplier Quality in sourcing decisions in the Sourcing Decision Committee(SDC).
• Ensuring the timely release of supplier parts (quality & quantity) according to specifications (SafeLaunch) by coordinating the SQA tasks in regional development projects as well as supportingglobal development projects.
• Lead the continuous improvement of supplier performance at MAHLE Thermal in projects and inthe series by measuring key figures and deriving improvement programs.
• First-level and second-level complaint management for the sustainable correction of supplier errors.
• Creation, introduction, adherence to and constant improvement of the prescribed rules in allprocesses of the Supplier Quality.
• Compliance with the cost budget.

Your Skills & Strengths

• Completed academic studies in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Professional experience in Quality Management or Development and/or production of electroniccomponents in the automotive industry is beneficial (min. 5 years).
• Experience in supplier management is beneficial.
• Leadership skills and experience in leading of intercultural teams (min. 5 years).
• Strong character, authority and negotiating skills to deal with different stakeholders (Intercompany,Suppliers, Customers).
• Skills and experience in Project Management.
• Experience in VDA core tools / lean management (APQP, PPAP, VDA, FMEA, 8D, etc.).
• Experience in passing VDA 6.3 Audits / IATF 16949.
• General understanding of manufacturing processes in Chemical & Metal.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes in Electrics/Electronics.
• Curiousity in Digitalization and Industry 4.0.
• Knowledge of the guidelines of the IPC / AEC-Q series, Functional Safety ISO 26262 & AutomotiveSpice.
• Knowledge in printed circuit board assembly, ESD, LIN bus, software, assembly and automation &high-voltage technology.
• Business fluent English.
• Willingness to travel (up to 30% of the year).
