Your Role & Responsibilities

 

  • Review of customer requirements, with special emphasis on those related to HW.
  • High-level HW Specification write down based on system requirements.
  • HW Architecture design according to the defined HW Requirements. Split the HW functionality in several boards as required.
  • Coordinate the team of Electronic Hardware Engineers performing the design of the different boards.
  • Manage the electronic product tree, identifying which release of each individual board corresponds to a given design release and tracking the compatibility between different versions.
  • Prepare connectors summary and board-to-board interface specification.
  • Participate in the design reviews of the different boards ensuring consistency between them.
  • Coordinate the overall design justification allocating the design verification steps to the different boards.
  • Ensure design and component reuse across boards on the same equipment when possible.
  • Ensures that the electronic design and validation tasks as defined in the PDP are planned, reviewed and completed.

 

 

 

Your Skills & Strengths

 

  • Degree in Physics / Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering or similar.
  • (Critical) Technical background in electronic design (automotive preferred).
  • (Required) Technical background in electronic design validation (functional, electrical, EMC).
  • (Required) Knowledge of electronic analysis and simulation tools (SPICE, PSIM, Mathcad, MATLAB).
  • (Required) Knowledge of standard electronic design analysis and verification (Derating analysis, WCA, Reliability calculation, FMEDA).
  • (Required) Proficiency in the use of electronic design tools (Schematic and PCB suites): Altium, OrCAD, Expedition, … . Experience Altium Designer is a plus.
  • (Required) Knowledge of Automotive SPICE processes.
  • (Valued) Knowledge of functional safety (ISO26262).
  • (Required) Experience in working in a V model development process (ASPICE).
  • (Required) Several years` experience in complex product electronic design for automotive applications.
  • (Valued) Experience in power electronics equipment designs.
  • (Required) Experience in writing/deriving HW requirements from customer/system requirements.
  • (Required) Experience with system/block diagrams, electronics schematics, e-Layout, mechanical design, 3D models, 2D drawings, Bill Of Materials, automotive validations procedures and normative, validation plans and automotive quality deliverables.
  • (Required) Experience in RFI/RFQ offer preparation, cost estimation, risk analysis, and requirements negotiation.
  • Languages: English (B2), Spanish (C1), German will be a plus.
