Warranty Lab Engineer

SUMMARY

Warranty department drives warranty improvements and administers customer warranty contracts. Warranty engineers drive the process with key stakeholders (Mahle Plants, Engineering, and Suppliers). Manage customer warranty for BU3 NA products. Negotiate contracts, monitor customer portals, and test field returns. Manage 8Ds to reduce warranty and administers warranty recovery actions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

• Manage 8D resolutions with plants, suppliers, and engineering.

• Monitor and summarize warranty data and field return inspections.

• Communicates warranty issues to all levels of BU3 organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience required.

• 5+ years of relevant experience required. 

• Basic understanding of customer warranty process required.

• Proficient in MS Office.

• Problem solving skills required - Green Belt certification desided.

• Knowledge of statistics including Weibull analysis desired.
