SUMMARY:
The Stellantis HVAC Engineering Intern will work with the team to learn and understand Mahle systems and processes to assist with Product Engineering on HVAC design, development and series support. with related tasks (test requests, report generation, data analysis, etc.).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support root cause analysis and other problem-solving tasks associated with warranty or production related issues.
- Support HVAC module testing, data analysis and report creation.
- Learn the basics of HVAC design, validation and manufacturing.
- Occasionally support manufacturing or customer issues on-site (travel required)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Enrolled at a 4-year accredited university or college.
- Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering preferred
- Class Standing: Sophomore, Junior or Senior preferred
- Skills: MS Office, Validation and test report creation, basic understanding of root cause analysis
- Experience: Previous internship within the automotive industry preferred. Industry relevant group projects or other relevant extracurricular activities.
- Root cause analysis experience including associated tools (fishbone, fault tree, etc.) a plus
- Familiarity with FMEAs a plus
