SUMMARY

Modern internal combustion engines and electric propulsion systems share their demand for sophisticated thermal management systems, often sharing the same key components but with very different requirements. From latest stage charge air cooling and exhaust gas cooling systems via thermostats and valves to cooling modules for the electric vehicle or specialty cooling demands for e-mobility application – as the concept development team we define solutions for our customers thermal management demands, develop the components and lead the team throughout the implementation of the product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical analysis of customer requirements and transferring into a design concept

  • Leading the design team in generating a final design based of the concept

  • Technical coordination of the costing process for customer offer

  • Technical concept presentation to the customer

  • Leading the engineering team through the design and implementation phase

  • Design review and release, internal and external

  • Coordinate and run part builds, supplier, prototype shops and in production plant

  • Validation testing and reporting

  • Engineering support through production (design changes, technical issues)

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering is required
  • Minimum 5 years of automotive experience is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Thermodynamics and Fluid Dynamics
  • GD&T profiency is required
  • CAD skills is a plus
  • General understanding of manufaturing processes is highly desired
  • Experience in a technical team coordinator role or as a design responsible engineer is a plus
