SUMMARY

This position is part of the Thermal Management Development North America organization (TNDC). Specifically, the Engineering Methods and Tools Department. The purpose of this position is to support the design and release system. Ensure engineering releases are correct for implementation into all manufacturing locations in North America.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Check and Release Engineering Releases/Changes in GTA

Ensure the following:

  • Is there a valid ECR/APM/CN in place

  • Is the appropriate modification type being used

  • Are part numbers being updated per the rules

  • Do the updated drawings accurately reflect the change

  • Set manufacturing plant views and procurement codes

System administrator for GTA

  • Support Designers, Team Leaders, and Local Indus to resolve all issues or errors in GTA

  • Update role assignments in GTA

  • Reassign work to different users

  • Coordinate with CAD to diagnose and resolve transfer errors between ECTR and GTA

Other

  • Answer or reassign Issue Tickets that come to the group inbox

  • Contact person for Engineering Specifications and Standards, train people how to search for and request specification and standards

  • Order specification and standards if necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred

  • 1 or more years of experience in Data Management / Information Science or Engineering Release / Change Management systems within the Automotive industry or setting is required

  • SAP experience is a plus 

  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills

  • Exceptional aptitude for learning computer software 

  • Propensity for delivering effective training with enthusiasm
