Senior Accountant

Your Contribution

• Prepare accurate financial statements and internal reports in compliance with Group, German GAAP and Japan GAAP
• Ensure timely monthly and quarterly closing and reporting packages
• Monitor and apply updates in accounting and tax regulations
• Handle intercompany reconciliations with MAHLE affiliates
• Manage tax return processes with Head of Accounting
• Communicate with external tax advisors on compliance and international tax matters
• Handle withholding tax, consumption tax, and transfer pricing
• Manage internal and external audits
• Support SAP (ERP) testing and S/4HANA implementation
• Collaborate with controlling teams (Japan, India), Thailand finance, and German HQ
• Partner with BU controllers on inventory, costing, accruals, and valuations
   

Your Experience & Qualifications

• University Bachelor degree or above
• 8 years+ accounting experience
• Fluent in Japanese, business English language skills
• Hands-on experience in SAP is strongly preferred
• Holding of CPA and/or licensed tax accountant is preferred
• Experience in manufacturing industry is plus
