Development Engineer (Technical Project Lead)

    Your Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsibly for the entire product development of complex automotive systems
• Coordination of international development teams with engineers from product design, simulation, prototyping, component testing, and materials laboratory
• Planning and control of the entire product-related development concerning function, quality, costs, and deadlines
• Ensuring the progress of the project following the Product Development Process from acquisition to series handover in our production plants
• Status and cost reporting to our top-management
• Communication and coordination of all development related issues with our customers
• Execution of functional and risk analyses, design-FMEA, and change documentation
• Driving acquisition of new business and development projects
• Review of customer specifications concerning product requirements and their implementation
• Preparation of MAHLE specifications and clarification of deviations with customers and suppliers
• Management of problem-solving teams in the event of complaints and failures
• Management of cost optimization projects

Your Skills & Strengths

•      University degree in mechanical engineering or a similar subject
• You are passioned about automotive technology and wish to drive forward innovative products
• Experience in product development and detailed knowledge in design and validation of products
• Excellent communication skills
• Confident interaction with customers and top managers
• Excellent English language skills in spoken and written form
• Excellent intercultural competence
• High willingness to perform and most professional way of working
• You are a team player and able to lead and support teams even in difficult situations
• Willingness to travel (domestic/international)
