Tooling Engineer

The purpose of the position is the processing of projects as Tooling Engineer (TE) according to PDP (Product Development Process) or the project management of strategic topics and in tool making for external customers. The aim is to ensure a smooth, timely and efficient implementation of new products in the series process as well as the implementation of projects in the factory or for external customers of tool making.

Your roles and responsibilities:

• Processing of projects in the function of TE (PDP)
• Management of projects for external clients for Scope of delivery: Tools
• Preparation of documents & data for customer offers
• Definition of tool concepts and technical solutions
• Participation in FMEA meetings
• Preparation of specifications (specification sheets) according to MAHLE template & coordination with suppliers
• Participation in the selection of suppliers
• Support & support of tool suppliers for positive project management (internal & external)
• Participation in internal / external Tool sampling
• Management & participation in project team meetings
• Carrying out design and tool approvals
• Evaluation of EMPB in cooperation with quality assurance and the project team
• Participation in process series acceptance
• Support during tool ramp-up until handover to production
• Reporting to the supervisors
• Ensuring quality in the project
• Participation in the product development process
• Acceptance of design and Tools at suppliers
• Escalation according to escalation process
• Convocation of team meetings

• Completed technical training or university degree
