Commodity Buyer Europe - Elastomers

The activities of the former business units “Filtration and Engine Peripherals” and “Thermal Management” merged in the new business unit “Thermal and Fluid Systems”. Here, thermal management will be able to access production competencies in filtration developed within the group over many years, enabling it to place competitive future-oriented technologies on the market. MAHLE is committed to thermal management and intends to continue growth in this area.

Your contribution:

As a Commodity Buyer- Elastomers you will execute purchasing activities within elastomers commodity, ensuring in-time availability, in right quality fulfilling the cost targets.

• Execution of purchase activities - select information about prices, suppliers, technical changes, select suppliers
• Purchasing strategy - implement and participate to development of these
• Negotiation - quantities, prices, delivery times, delivery conditions
• Price comparation - to optimize the supply situation
• Project Management for Purchasing Projects 

Your experience & qualification:

• ​​​​​Strong experience in purchasing domain mainly in automotive domain
• Strong negotiation, cost analysis, market analysis, continuous improvement, time and project management skills.
• Quality mind set, able to work under pressure
• Knowledge of logistics, manufacturing processes, commodity markets and a strong understanding of the assigned commodities
