SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Facilities Manager is responsible for all preventative maintenance and repair of facility equipment, this includes PLC, Injection Molding and other production equipment.  Perform Information Security Assessment (VDA-ISA), Gap Analysis (TISAX- Global Action Plan, and local Action Plan (TISAX- Global Action Plan, incl local Action Plan)

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Maintenance and Facilities

  • Responsible for preventative maintenance and repair costs for facility equipment
  • Analyze manufacturing efficiency issues and conduct problem solving corrective action
  • Responsible for current and future facility expansion/modification and ensure activities are successfully implemented
  • Support Manufacturing staff in product launch activities (MOP, Service Agreements, Facility Requirements).
  • Efficient use of necessary spare parts, budget requirements and assure appropriate stock levels.
  • Organize, coordinate and lead the maintenance activities in support of the Plant Operations, including production equipment and plant Support Emergency Planning/Contingency Plan.
  • Budgeting of Maintenance department expenses (labour, O/T & stockroom items)
  • Responsible for environment and waste management controls, in accordance with planned ISO-14001 procedures and work instructions.
  • Responsible to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support Emergency Planning/Contingency Plan.

 

Controls

  • Responsible for improvements to equipment reliability and cycle time,
  • Responsible for electrical documentation - hardware/software pneumatic & hydraulic
  • Responsible for PLC, robot programming and hardware standards
  • Responsible for equipment modifications with production, maintenance and engineering
  • Review approval drawings for new equipment
  • Ensure all equipment meets Ontario Hydro Inspections
  • Provide technical expertise/support for maintenance and production
  • Participate in design of new equipment
  • Responsible for installation/commissioning new equipment

 

Local ISMS Coordinator

  • Establish ISMS Site Organization
  • Performed Information Security Assessment (VDA-ISA), Gap Analysis (TISAX- Global Action Plan, and local Action Plan (TISAX- Global Action Plan, incl local Action Plan)
  • Define countermeasures and resources (HC and budget) needed
  • Get priorities agreed and resources approved
  • Plan and control pre TISAX audit countermeasures implementation
  • Schedule, prepare and support TISAX audits (every 3 years)
  • Plan, do and control after TISAX audit countermeasures implementation, ensure sustainability
  • Performing of an annual VDA Information Security Assessment in order to ensure efficiency
  • Establish site meetings to share Lessons Learned and Good Practices
  • Collect evaluate and communicate Lessons Learned and Good Practices
  • Support definition of Standards (procedures, instructions, methods and tools) Implement and control Standards to avoid double work and reduce costs

 

Local Security Advisor

  • Physical Security for employee and property protections
  • Facility Security as well as confidentiality of documents and information
  • Recording and reporting security related incidents
  • Aiding in record keeping and investigations as needed
  • Periodic physical security compliance checks of the facility

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledgeable in their duties and responsibilities in accordance safety legislation in Ontario.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards as applicable to the position
  • College Diploma or Skilled Trades certificate of qualification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience with a strong background in Preventative Maintenance
  • Working knowledge of Plastics Manufacturing Process and production tooling
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the IATF 16949 standard as applicable to the position.
