Industrial Electrician
Your Contribution
As a Industrial Electrician reporting to the Supervisor; Plant Controls Engineering, you will be responsible to work Monday - Friday 3-shift rotation and be available for overtime work which may include Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. You will also be responsible to provide high quality and timely results to meet or exceed department goals, contributing positively to the team mindset.
This role is responsible to:
- Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations.
- Layout, assembly, installation, repair, maintenance, connection, testing of electrical fixtures, apparatus and equipment wiring.
- Diagnose systematic faults in electrical systems and equipment, repair/replacement of components as required
- Recording and documentation in SAP.
- Ability to be a team player and work closely with employees such as Controls Engineers, Plant Manager, Technicians, Production Operators, etc
- Dismantling older machines and replacing them with new ones. Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts.
- Planning of installations from blueprints, sketches, specifications and installation of all electrical and electronic devices
- Testing of electrical & electronic equipment for proper function
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Mechanical aptitude in dealing with wrenches, hammers, forklifts, and other similar tools.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- All other duties and projects assigned.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- Must hold a current and valid 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician Certificate or a 442A Industrial Electrician Certificate
- Minimum 5 years related experience preferably in plastic injection molding, automotive, and experience with Siemens PLCs and Rockwell
- Background in troubleshooting PLC and computer-controlled equipment
- Technical experience in molding, automated assembly, and equipment troubleshooting and repair an asset.
