Internship Machine Learning for Energy-Efficient Vehicle Control and Thermal Management (m/f/d)

• Starting immediately for a period of 6 months 

• Analysis and processing of vehicle measurement data for data-driven modeling approaches
• Development and validation of surrogate models for thermal vehicle systems
• Supporting the development of innovative thermal management controllers
• Implementation and evaluation of machine learning algorithms in Python
• Conducting simulations as well as analyzing and visualizing the results
• Collaboration with experts in the fields of thermal management, control engineering, and AI

• Currently, purely voluntary internships cannot be offered
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a comparable field
• Basic knowledge of machine learning or data science
• Good programming skills in Python (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch) and in agentic software development
• Interest in reinforcement learning, AI, and data-driven models
• Independent and analytical approach to work
• Good command of English
