Head of (m/f/d) Application Engineering and Project Management

Your Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage application engineering and project management teams in the Business Unit and Sales organization in EU.

• Collaborate on series development projects with design, simulation, sales, purchasing, product management, GTC and plants

• Responsibility for series projects in Europe according to PDP for Power Cylinder Unit and valvetrain components

• Technical support and guidance for plants, quality & purchasing departments.

• Training of applications engineers & project managers

• Contribute to the definition and successful implementation of innovative and differentiated products & new standards in series development.

• Contributing to sales presentations, as well as demonstrating prototypes and completed applications.

• Guide advanced engineering, design & simulation and GTC to close existing technology gaps in product and process development

Your Skills and Strengths

• Bachelor's / master’s degree in engineering or related fields
• Approximately ten years of relevant work experience
• Experience in leadership positions (at least 5yrs+) in automotive
• In-depth Knowledge in 
  • Combustion engines
  • Power Cylinder Unit
  • Camshaft Design & Simulation
  • Tribology
  • Material science
  • FMEA (Design & Process)
  • Root cause analysis
  • Project management (PDP)
• Excellent Communication skills in German and English fluent
• Critical/creative thinking with the ability to identify opportunities and alternatives
• Team player/Mentor with strong leadership skills 
• Experienced working in matrix organization
