Your Contribution
As our Quality Engineer, you will coordinate with our Quality Manager and Plant Manager to support the Operations Continuous Improvement team in Quality Assurance, compliance with ISO9001, project management and improvement initiatives. You will lead projects including data analysis, process mapping, problem definition, root cause analysis, and definition and execution of action plans to effectively reduce wastes with Operations processes.
- Act as a resource for troubleshooting material flow, processes, and QA failures.
- Calculate and report cost savings associated with projects and ideas.
- Manage projects via the 5-phase template and conduct meetings with team members and management to communicate project status and coordinate needed support for implementation.
- Generate production concepts identifying targeted improvements in capacity, labor, space requirements, efficiency, and other reduction of wastes.
- Perform and understand statistical analysis of data.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent field and up to 5 years direct experience; or 10+ years direct experience
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; AutoCAD & MiniTab
- Stong aptitude with Statistical Analysis
- Six Sigma Certification preferred
- ISO 9001 Certification preferred
