Your Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the core Project Team to realize the project objectives (Financial, defined in the Project Agreement
  • Ensure that proper methods are used in defining corrective actions (e.g., Risk Management, Change Management etc.)
  • Support the selection of outsourcing and development partners, components and suppliers (action items resulting from the Sourcing Committee to be integrated in the Project Plan)
  • Plans and conducts Project Review & Quality Gate meetings
  • Planning and managing of product development projects in an international environment
  • Overall responsibility for the successful execution of projects in order to achieve the project objectives concerning costs, profitability, quality and timing
  • Implementation of simultaneous engineering as well as an effective opportunity and risk management in the project team
  • Coordination of project team members, customers, internal and external development partners, suppliers and production facilities
  • Functional leadership of the project team
  • Performance feedback of team members to the line managers
  • Planning and assigning work packages to the team while monitoring and controlling of the progress
  • Overall responsibility and management of released project budget
  • Successful management of all project stakeholders’ interests
  • Project reporting and presentation of the projects to management committees
  • Create and maintain transparency in the project
  • Coordination and management of project changes considering the effects on the project objectives

Your Skill & Requirements

  • Knowledge of project management (ideally certified according to PMI or IPMA) and business administration
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a Project Manager in product development projects for customers in the automotive industry
  • Good entrepreneurial skills
  • Good customer and process orientation
  • Team player with social competence
  • Open-minded & Good team player
  • Point Focus and good organization
  • Minimum 5 years Project Management experience in Tier 1 suppliers
  • Minimum 8 years in Automotive related industry
  • Good command of spoken and written Chinese & English
  • Experience in automotive mechatronic products projects and China OEMs is a plus
  • The 2nd foreign language (e.g. German, Japanese etc.) is a plus
