TMM Development Engineer
The activities of the former business units “Filtration and Engine Peripherals” and “Thermal Management” will be merged in the new business unit “Thermal and Fluid Systems”. Here, thermal management will be able to access production competencies in filtration developed within the group over many years, enabling it to place competitive future-oriented technologies on the market. MAHLE is committed to thermal management and intends to continue growth in this area.
Your Contribution
- Responsible for the design and development of integrated modules for automotive thermal management, including the integration design of refrigerant side and coolant side.
- Responsible for defining the performance of thermal management system components, confirming solutions, and conducting experimental verification.
- Responsible for the application and development of vehicle thermal management system components on the entire vehicle, solving performance, NVH (noise, vibration, and roughness), reliability, and other issues related to thermal management system components, including chillers, iConds, compressor, EXVs, coolant pumps, multi way coolant valves, and other products.
- Responsible for system matching, assembly performance design, virtual verification, and testing verification of the thermal management module.
- Responsible for developing and applying relevant knowledge systems, including test standards, technical standards, inspection reference books, design specifications, DVP, DFMEA, etc.
- Responsible for benchmarking of competitor thermal management module design, analyze advantages and disadvantages.
Your Experience & Qualification:
- Familiar with the principles of heat pump systems, with solid basic knowledge of refrigerant and coolant loops of new energy vehicles.
- Familiar with the design and application of heat exchangers, refrigerant valves, sensors, coolant valves, coolant pumps, refrigerant and coolant manifold etc.
- Familiar with the characteristics of new alternative refrigerants and their impact on the design of thermal management modules, such as R290;
- Proficient in using office software and CATIA design.
