Head of Advanced TMM Development China

Your Roles & Responsibilities

• Build development competency for advanced thermal management module, esp. focusing on highly integrated refrigerant module and complex coolant module for future refrigerant system in China market.
• Lead cross functional teams and collaborate with departments such as system engineering, process, quality, and supply chain to ensure product development meets technical specifications and market demand.
• Lead joint pre-development projects with local customers and promote Mahle new technologies.
• Track and evaluate the latest technological trends in the industry, such as heat pump systems, PFAS free refrigerant, Thermal Management Module, etc., and apply these technologies to product innovation.
• Develop and execute product development plans, including product portfolio, budget control, timeline planning, and resource allocation.

Your Skills & Strengths

• Major in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, refrigeration engineering, HVAC, or similar
• More than 8 years of experience in developing automotive thermal management products, with priority given to those with experience in developing new energy vehicle thermal management modules.
• Excellent expertise in thermodynamics and/or fluid dynamics
• Familiar with the special requirements for thermal management of new energy vehicles, such as battery cooling, motor and control system thermal management, air conditioning etc.
• Familiar with the design and application of heat exchangers, refrigerant valves, sensors, coolant valves, coolant pumps, refrigerant and coolant manifold etc.
• Good command of English and willingness for occasional business trips
• Strong analytical capabilities Ability to solve problems and find innovative solutions to technical challenges encountered during the development process.
• Strong leadership & rich experience in leading the team
• Strong capabilities in coaching & management
