Your Contribution
As the Development Manager _ HVAC & Powertrain Cooling, you will be responsible for leading development initiatives, overseeing a team of engineers for HVAC and ECM development. The role involves managing the development of new products, enhancing existing ones, and fostering a culture of innovation.
- Lead and manage the team and its personnel, achieving project goals.
- Oversee all HVAC and ECM projects from concept to launch, setting timelines and ensuring they are adhered to.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product success.
- Provide technical expertise and technical issue solving to the respective teams whenever necessary.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and MAHLE product development procedures.
- Monitor and report on project progress and performance, risks, and recommendations to senior management.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement of product cost.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and careers.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs and preferences.
- Support the commercialization of new products and technologies.
- Stay updated on automotive thermal technology trends and advancements.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or above, major in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, refrigeration engineering or related.
- With at least 10 years’ experience with automotive thermal products.
- Experience in development of complex air conditioning and powertrain cooling products for passenger and commercial vehicles, esp. in NEV application preferred.
- Familiar with the development process and standards related to automotive industry components.
- Proven experience in a relevant role, with a strong background in leading development projects, team management, and driving innovation to support the company’s strategic goals.
- Strong capabilities in coaching
- Structured and autonomous working style
- Good communication and team driven skills
- Fluent English language skills
