Your Contribution:

As Foreign Trade Specialist, you adopt a proactive approach in supporting the foreign trade activities in China including Customs, Export Control, and related IT systems. Develop cost-effective, compliant Customs and Export Control processes for operations in China and ensure implementation.

Customs & Export Control Management

• Define regional guidelines based on global standard.
• Follow up global and regional Foreign Trade requirements and spread to all Chinese plants.
• Follow up and analyze Foreign Trade relevant policies and implement them if necessary.
• Problem shooting for plants on daily customs and export control operation.
• Support plants for continuous improvement in customs and export control aspects.
• Conduct training to plants, other departments, and suppliers if necessary.
• Lead Customs Projects such as AEO, Broker Tender.
• HS CODE review for China entities.
• Utilize customs related preferential policies to apply for tax reliefs for imported equipment.
• Support finance team on tax verification for customs duties and VAT.
• Provide regular analysis and report to the management.
• Customs clearance for import and export, and relevant documents archive for MHC/MAT/MATS.

Foreign Trade IT System Management

• SAP Foreign Trade Domain deployement for China entities based on global project schedule and requirement.
• Cross function allignment on GTS settign up for business.
• Optimization of foreign trade process for China entities during GTS deployment.
• Long term support and training to China entities after system go live.
• Contact window for entities to Asian MORE deployment hub regarding GTS and to global FT IT team.
• Analyze requirements and support China entities on add-on foreign trade IT systems if necessary.

Your Experience & Qualification:

• Bachelor degree or above, major in international economy and trade, logistics, or business
• Preferably with experience in Customs or foreign trade for at least 5 years
• Experience of Import/Export operation
• Familiar with foreign trade law with knowledge on manufacturing sector.
• Being familiar with Automotive is a PLUS
• Experience of Export Control/ MORE project/ centralized Customs management is a PLUS
• Good analytical and communication skills
• Patience, insistence, team work spirit, being proactive
• Good oral & written English skills
