Electronics Engineer-HV
The activities of the former business units “Filtration and Engine Peripherals” and “Thermal Management” will be merged in the new business unit “Thermal and Fluid Systems”. Here, thermal management will be able to access production competencies in filtration developed within the group over many years, enabling it to place competitive future-oriented technologies on the market. MAHLE is committed to thermal management and intends to continue growth in this area.
Your Contribution
- Selection and setup of suppliers for drives incl. inverters (HW/SW) for HV applications
- Close cooperation with pre-development in Stuttgart/Germany
- Industrialization of drives with regard to inverter + drive HV range (400/800V)
- Development of internal requirement and release criteria
- Participation in project specific release decisions and identification of development risks (cost, schedule, technical)
- Creation of requirements/specification and cooperation with various suppliers
- Definition and development of validations for HV components for the areas of function, mechanics, electronics, insulation systems and electrical connection technologies
- Control of internal and external validations as well as evaluation and assessment of test results with respect to requirements
- Dimensioning and selection of electrical connection technologies (press-fit, connectors, leads) for HV and LV interfaces
- Support of pre-development and customer development projects from the creation of E/E concepts to the construction of prototypes to the point of acquisition readiness
Your Experience & Qualification:
- Successfully completed studies (university, college or dual university) in the field of electrical engineering, mechatronics or comparable studies
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of BLDC motor development and electrics/electronics, ideally in an automotive environment
- Experience in the LV range 12V and HV range 400/800V
- Good knowledge in dimensioning and design of electrical machines
- High level of technical expertise in the 12V on-board power supply system
- Good knowledge of current standards and customer requirements (e.g., LV123, LV124, LV214)
