Development Manager EV Thermal Management

The activities of the former business units “Filtration and Engine Peripherals” and “Thermal Management” will be merged in the new business unit “Thermal and Fluid Systems”. Here, thermal management will be able to access production competencies in filtration developed within the group over many years, enabling it to place competitive future-oriented technologies on the market. MAHLE is committed to thermal management and intends to continue growth in this area.

Your Contribution

• Lead and manage the team and its personnel, achieving project goals.
• Oversee all TMM projects from concept to launch, setting timelines and ensuring they are adhered to.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product success.
• Provide technical expertise and technical issue solving to the respective teams whenever necessary.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and MAHLE product development procedures.
• Monitor and report on project progress and performance, risks, and recommendations to senior management.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement of product cost.
• Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and careers.
• Conduct market research to identify customer needs and preferences.
• Support the commercialization of new products and technologies.
• Stay updated on automotive thermal technology trends and advancements.

Your Experience & Qualification:

• Excellent expertise in thermodynamics and/or fluid dynamics
• Familiar with the special requirements for thermal management of new energy vehicles, such as battery cooling, motor and control system thermal management, air conditioning etc.
• Familiar with the design and application of heat exchangers, refrigerant valves, sensors, coolant valves, coolant pumps, refrigerant and coolant manifold etc.
