Business Controller
MAHLE Lifecycle and Mobility is the business unit specializing in spare parts and services for the aftermarket. It uses the expertise from original equipment series production for its established product range and additional competence in electrification and digitalization and supplies partners in the trade, workshops, and engine repair shops. The products developed by the MAHLE Service Solutions business segment for workshop equipment, as well as comprehensive services and individual training offers, complete the portfolio.
Your Contribution
The business controller is the KEY person and bridge btw business functions and service functions, lead team discussion to meet business requirement. In this role, we expect business controller performing as a business partner to support business decision and strategies by addressing financial impacts and perspectives, raise financial awareness to other dept. managers and shows leadership in support development of company business and profitability.
- Monthly and annual financial statements analysis and reporting in MAHLE official reporting system (MARS).
- Preparation of annual Budgets, Forecasts and Long-Term Strategy Planning.
- Follow-up of planning scenarios assumptions and figures, and analysis of deviations from Actual results.
- Lead the intercompany transfer pricing management as per aligned TP methodologies.
- Marketing and promotions budget monitoring, reporting and approval (marketing material, events, advertising).
- Participate in Customer Credit Management (Bad debts, Payment terms, Credit Risks) with Sales and Accounting.
- Track customer overdue situation and push sales for action to reduce bad debt risk.
- Participate in Inventory Management (aging, inventory valuations).
- Prepare and monitor P&L by product group report, provide professional insights to different stakeholders to define further product structure optimization steps.
- Lead ME level performance measurement project, monitor and forecast ONCF trend, lead team discussion to improve ONCF situation.
- Regular ad-hoc internal reporting, business cases financial analysis (including new product, new customer, existing product promotion, customer counteroffer), new projects management.
- Initiate the improvement / design of the Company’s business processes to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
- Monitor business risk & opportunity development on monthly base, highlight the main impact to upper level.
- Optimization of cooperation between Controlling, Finance, Accounting, Treasury and Sales, Operation, Purchasing dept.
- Participate internal & external audit, follow up CO related findings, eliminate business risks
Your Experience & Qualification:
- Major in Finance Accounting a plus
- Experience in Retail Distribution, wholesaler or Trading businesses of products preferably from Automotive industry or other manufacturing industry
- Experience in SAP implementation and Rollout project a big plus
- Experience in controlling and management accounting (cost accounting), FP&A
- Excellent English skill
- Knowledge of finance and accounting
- Good command of MS tools (Excel, Powerpoint), SAP FI/CO
- Command of Japanese a big plus
