Project Manager - Automotive Manufacturing (MSED)
Your Contribution
You will lead automotive product development projects, manage project costs, quality, and timelines, and coordinate global cross‑functional teams. You will oversee financial transparency, risk and change management, CAPEX processes, and ensure all products and processes meet customer and quality system requirements.
- Plan and manage product development projects in an international environment.
- Hold overall responsibility for the successful execution of projects to achieve objectives in profitability, cost, quality, and timing, including functional leadership of the project team.
- Ensure simultaneous engineering and effective opportunity and risk management.
- Coordinate project team members, customers, internal and external development partners, and suppliers.
- Take overall responsibility for managing the released project budget, including commercial planning.
- Calculate and review the business case and create financial transparency (MSP) to support Sales, the project team, and management during the acquisition phase and throughout the PDP process.
- Calculate and update unit product costing over the entire project lifetime (in FACTON), taking into account production, logistics, packaging, material cost, series tooling cost, project costs across domains, and CAPEX.
- Create project‑specific hourly rates to calculate product/production costs in support of pricing strategy.
- Assess different product and manufacturing concepts (in FACTON).
- Prepare project reporting and presentations for management committees.
- Coordinate and manage project changes with consideration of their impact on project objectives.
- Coordinate and manage the CAPEX approval process.
- Coordinate and interface with XMPL/MEDJ and XMPRW/MAHLE Global teams for new products and processes (Machine, Quality, R&D) to ensure all processes meet customer quality and delivery expectations.
- Perform other duties related to primary job functions as required.
- Supervise and collaborate on improving the company’s occupational health, safety, environmental management systems, and quality management system.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management and new product development, with experience in automotive manufacturing processes, working with global teams, and strong communication skills in an international environment.
- Proficiency in English and Thai.
- Experience with Excel, Word, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
- Knowledge of Quality Systems: ISO 9001 / IATF 16949.
- Willingness to work on-site at MAHLE Siam Electric Drives Co., Ltd. – Kingkaew 33, Samut Prakan.
