Head of Production (MTTH)

Your Contribution

You will lead manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance operations to ensure production excellence, continuous improvement, and achievement of business objectives while building a high-performing team and driving operational efficiency. Based on the original Assistant Plant Manager, this position supports plant management, manufacturing operations, engineering activities, KPI management, project execution, and organizational development.

• Act as a trusted partner to the Plant Manager, providing operational guidance and leading strategic improvement projects.
• Support local teams in bridging technical gaps for Japan-led projects, new product launches, and production transfers.
• Ensure daily plant operations achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets.
• Lead engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and cost effectiveness.
• Manage plant KPIs, projects, investments, and risk management activities to support business growth and operational excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement, change management, and problem-solving initiatives across the plant.
• Develop and coach team members, strengthen organizational capabilities, and promote a culture of safety, compliance, teamwork, and accountability.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in plant engineering, manufacturing operations, production management, or plant leadership within an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, factory operations, project management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, risk assessment, equipment maintenance, and production system optimization is highly preferred.
• Proven leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and team development skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
• Experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing is preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, TPM, Six Sigma, or Industry 4.0 initiatives is an advantage.
• Good command of English and Thai, with the ability to communicate effectively with local and global stakeholders.
• Willingness to work on-site at MAHLE Thermal and Fluid Systems (Thailand) Co., Ltd. - Rojjana, Ayutthaya.
