Validation Engineer

Your Role & Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and conduct in-lab, proving ground, and road data acquisitions (i.e. strain, accelerations).
• Analyze and evaluate data from proving ground and road measurements utilizing LMS Tecware and TestLab software, and other ReM tools.
• Derive / verify customer test specifications applying MAHLE’s ReM methodology.
• Generate vibration test data from proving ground measurements.
• Operate and conduct test equipment where needed.
• Support engineering teams regarding reliability management (ReM) (analysis of data, coordinating ReM activities with engineering team, participation in customer meetings).
• Prepare and maintain computer programs for test data reduction, plotting and tracking of tests.
• Test documentation, report writing and preparing comprehensive customer presentations.
• Design and construct test fixtures and test equipment.
• Introduce new concepts for test, reliability and predictive engineering.
• Work closely with the test group customers.

Your Skills & Strenghts:

• B.S. in Engineering (EE or ME) required.
• 3-5 years experience in similar position.
• Knowledge of quantitative methods such as finite element methods and computational fluid dynamics.
• Basic knowledge of reliability management methodologies.
• Basic knowledge in Weibull statistics and Weibull based testing.
• Solid experience in the test and predictive engineering of engine cooling systems and components.
• Demonstrated systems test / reliability & laboratory experience.
• Experience in one of the following software/hardware systems preferred (LabView, LMS Test.Lab, LMS Tecware, IMC Cronos, LMS SCADAS).
