Your Contribution:

 

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Assurance system within production operations by monitoring and enforcing the proper execution of controls defined in PFMEA, Control Plans, and applicable standards. In doing so, you will guarantee product conformity and the stability of manufacturing processes.

Additionally, you will lead the shop floor quality team, fostering a culture of prevention, continuous improvement, and a strong focus on reducing risks, defects, and the cost of poor quality.

  • Monitor quality KPIs (scrap, PPM, rejects) and drive immediate actions to address deviations.
  • Oversee the execution of Quality Assurance controls and defined reaction plans.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives using methodologies such as 8D, A3, and DMAIC.
  • Manage containment activities for nonconforming products to prevent further impact.
  • Coordinate process and product audits, ensuring timely follow-up and closure of findings.
  • Lead the shop floor quality team by setting priorities and managing workload distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with MAHLE’s Quality Management System (MBMS) guidelines and standards.

 

Your Experience & Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality within the automotive industry and minimum of 3 years in a Quality Coordinator or similar leadership role in manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with 8D problem solving, SPC, GR&R, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plans (PCP), PPAP, and new product launches.
  • Upper-intermediate English proficiency.
  • Proven ability to design and implement shop floor and quality assurance strategies.
  • Availability and valid documentation to travel to the U.S.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), including control charts and Cpk analysis.
  • Experience conducting internal audits.
  • Knowledge of Poka-Yoke (error-proofing).
