Your Contribution:

 

Lead the operations, maintenance, and repair of molds, design and improve mold maintenance routines based on RCM, ensure the corresponding spare parts by identifying critical spare parts and adding them to the standard format, and redesign tooling. Maximizing operational efficiency, minimizing production downtime, and ensuring that parts meet customer quality standards. Maintain a tooling matrix with status and service life.
Design, develop, and validate plastic injection molds used in the production of automotive components, ensuring compliance with quality, productivity, cost, and specific customer requirements.

 

  • Perform planning of preventive and predictive maintenance activities for their team.
  • Conduct failure analysis of second-level corrective maintenance activities exceeding two hours using tools such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa, etc.
  • Optimize process parameters together with Process Engineering.
  • Track and manage Maintenance Department KPIs such as MTTR, MTBF, Availability, Expenses, and Adherence.
  • Understand and comply with applicable requirements of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards relevant to their position.
  • Understand and comply with the requirements of IATF 16949 in its most current version.
  • Other duties and responsabilities may be required. 

 

Your Experience & Qualifications:

 

  • Bilingual english/spanish. 
  • Experience with plastic resins (PP, ABS , PC , Nylon, etc.) 3+ years of experience.
  • Injection mold design 5+ years of experience.
  • Plastic injection molding processes 5+ years of experience.
  • Hot runner systems 5+ years of experience.
  • Flow analysis (Moldflow software) 3+ years of experience.
