Executive Assistant 1
Your Contribution:
As an EHS Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace by leading EHS programs, managing regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will serve as a trusted partner to plant leadership and employees, promoting a strong safety culture, supporting compliance with environmental and occupational health regulations, and ensuring the effectiveness of MAHLE's EHS management systems.
- Investigate environmental, health, and safety (EHS) accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Coordinate internal and external audits related to ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 19011, OHSAS, CTPAT, and OEA environmental, health, and safety management systems.
- Ensure compliance with municipal, state, and federal legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate activities and maintain records related to hazardous waste management.
- Evaluate production equipment and manufacturing processes to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
- Train employees on environmental, health, and safety procedures and requirements.
- Define environmental, health, and safety objectives and targets in collaboration with the management team.
- Monitor and verify compliance with environmental, occupational health, and safety legal obligations.
- Maintain the safety and hygiene conditions required for efficient plant operations.
- Manage and resolve workplace conflicts effectively.
- Collaborate and interact with local and corporate teams across all organizational levels.
- Control personnel transportation expenses and review transportation service incidents and performance.
- Oversee the administration of support and service areas.
Your Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the automotive industry or a related manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other EHS-related applications and systems.
- Certified Lead Auditor with expertise in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 19011, CTPAT, TISAX, legal compliance requirements, and occupational safety standards.
- Knowledge of fire protection systems, including their installation, operation, inspection, and maintenance.
- Experience in workplace safety problem-solving, machine and equipment safeguarding, safety controls, machine guarding, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) programs; ability to identify deviations in safety procedures and controls related to safety devices.
- Experience supervising security service providers and managing contractor companies to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Experience delivering training on environmental management systems, occupational health, safety, and industrial hygiene programs.
- Experience conducting hazard analysis, risk assessments, and evaluating high-risk activities.
