Technology Architect Cloud Platforms

Your Contribution

• Design standardized Azure infrastructure architectures (IaaS & PaaS).
• Design architecture regarding landing zones, subscriptions, and RBAC models.
• Establish FinOps best practice for cost optimization, reporting, and budgeting.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and operational reliability of the Azure platform.
• Provide designs enabling automation using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
• Define and publish architectural reference designs to be used as global standards in MAHLE IT.
• Establish guardrails to ensure compliance with security, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on cloud infrastructure and platform architecture and act as point of contact for related topics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture strategies aligned with business goals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to operative teams on Azure services and cloud-native design patterns.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements in cloud solutions.
• As a Technology Architect, you will design and govern the cloud infrastructure landscape with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure (landing zones, subscriptions, RBAC models etc.).
• Beyond architecture, you provide guardrails for operations and enable FinOps practices to ensure transparency and efficiency.
• You will be a trusted advisor for both IT and business stakeholders, shaping the technical foundation of MAHLE cloud strategy.

Your Experience and Qualification

• Proven senior-level expertise 
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services (compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, security).
• Several years of Experience with cloud governance frameworks and Azure Landing Zones.
• Skilled in Infrastructure-as-Code and automation concepts.
• Experience in establishing cloud native and hybrid architectures.
• Strong communication skills, customer orientation, and analytical thinking
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Proficiency in cloud architecture frameworks and methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly (on C-level).
• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Understanding of architectural framework (TOGAF, IAF, Zachmann) (certification will be treated as an advantage)
• Awareness of ITIL or similar framework (certificate as a plus)
• Certified or proven knowledge on the level of AZ-305 (certification will be treated as an advantage)
• Complementary certifications like AZ-104 or AZ-500 will be seen as an advantage

Minimum Requirements

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Knowledge of containerized workloads and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Knowledge of FinOps and cost management best practices.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises systems.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and tools (e.g., Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud).
