General Description:

MAHLE is looking for an experienced manufacturing supplier quality engineer to join our team. You will be expected to excel in a fast pace, growing company and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement. You will need to have outstanding interpersonal communication skills to deal with Suppliers, co-workers, counterparts, and customers. Manage and drive supplier potential audits, supplier regular process audits, APQP, PPAP & supplier claim handling process, implement effective long-term corrective action, and transfer lesson learned to other parts.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

At least 7 years’ experience in manufacturing in supplier development, supplier quality, and process quality in Casting (especially in GDC, HPDC) & Machining. Aluminum Casting

At least 3 years of experience in a similar position.

Certified auditor of VDA 6.3 and first experience as a 2nd party auditor.

Knowledge about IATF16949.

Knowledge of AIAG and VDA automotive core tools.

Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

Knowledge about GD&T, specially Envelope requirement.

Experience using Six Sigma techniques and Six sigma green belt certification.

Broad technical knowledge as well as a target and problem-solving-oriented work style

Independent work style, responsible work behavior, team player, and interdisciplinary thinking

Business-fluent English language skills, further language skills desirable

Up to 50% travel required.

 

Assessment and approval of suppliers and supplier production processes.

Perform Supplier VDA 6.3 potential audits, supplier VDA 6.3 process audits & define development actions.

Planning and assuring the quality of purchased parts by applying quality methods. (e.g. APQP, PPAP)

Perform process, risk and quality audits at suppliers, including development, implementation, tracking, and monitoring of the effectiveness of supplier corrective actions.

Problem-solving tracking (e.g. 8D method, Pareto, lessons learned …)

Active contribution in teams to develop and implement supplier strategies.

Teamwork with purchasing, project teams, plants, and central functions

Support of preparation, review, and release of Quality agreements with suppliers

Supplier visits/meetings (including travel as needed)

Internal and external reporting including related activities.

Collaboration in projects and documentation/presentation of results.
