Deputy Manager - Hardware Engineering

Your Contribution:   

 

  • Lead the coordination, execution, and delivery of hardware design projects across e-Mobility product lines; Traction motor controllers; Engine cooling fan motors; DC-DC converters; Onboard chargers.
  • Review customer requirements with emphasis on hardware-specific needs. 

  • Define and develop hardware specifications and architecture based on system-level requirements. 

  • Lead schematic design, PCB layout reviews, and hardware-software interface definition. 

  • Guide component selection, second-source strategy, and managing PCN for obsolescence or changes. 

  • Coordinate with DE for accurate BOM generation and validation. 

  • Perform design justification analysis (SPICE, Worst Case, Monte Carlo). 

  • Contribute to FMEDA and collect reliability data for ISO 26262 Functional Safety compliance. 

  • Define and execute hardware verification and validation strategies. 

  • Support EMC, EE, and functional testing, including on-site technical assistance. 

  • Act as the technical point of contact for electronic suppliers and customers. 

  • Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and presentations. 

  • Support warranty analysis and field issue resolution.

 

Your Experience and Qualification: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. 
  • Strong knowledge of automotive standards and design practices. 

  • Hands-on experience with:  

  • Altium Designer (schematic/layout) 

  • LTspice (simulation) 

  • Teamcenter, SAP, Windchill (PLM systems) 

  • Experience in analog, digital, signal, and power electronics design. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Confidence and ability to work with global teams and stakeholders. 

  • Ability to work in international environments across globe. 

  • Strong time and conflict management skills 

  • English proficiency is mandatory; knowledge of foreign languages is a plus. 

 

Minimum Requirement:

 

  • Strong computer skills, including MS office – Tools like, Strong Excel knowledge and data management skill, PPT, SAP.
  • Lead and mentor a team of hardware engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement. 

  • Ensure timely delivery and quality of team outputs, aligning with project milestones and customer expectations. 

  • Drive team development through coaching, reviews, and skill gap analysis. 

  • Facilitate internal and external stakeholder communication, including global counterparts and suppliers. 

  • Strong communication skills: (written and verbal) to effectively convey information to stakeholders and team members. Fluent written and spoken English.  

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills: to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.  

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills: to identify issues and develop effective solutions.  

  • Leadership and interpersonal skills: to motivate and guide teams, build relationships, and manage conflict.  

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.  

  • Excellent communication skills.  

  • Customer focused and results oriented. Attention to detail. 

  • Responsible and organized, Logical thinker.  

  • Passion to learn new concepts, technologies, and processes.
