Your role & responsibilities:


  • Responsibility for operational purchasing, pan-European procurement planning, inventory management as well as disciplinary leadership of the team at all European aftermarket sites.
  • Responsibility for cross-functional collaboration and communication with internal partners (purchasing, product management, manufacturing) as well as with internal and external suppliers worldwide
  • Responsibility for monitoring inventories, backlogs, and sustainable achievement of inventory targets as well as reporting of the relevant KPIs resulting from this
  • Ensure availability to fulfill customer orders according to contractual agreements
  • Identify potentials to improve internal and cross-functional processes and procedures and ensure their timely implementation
  • Responsibility for special topics within the scope of backlog management, management as well as preparation and follow-up of escalation meetings with suppliers
  • Ensure standard processes for order processing in SAP/R3


Your skills & strengths:


  • Relevant professional experience in the field of material procurement, scheduling, supplier support and supply chain management
  • Experience in leading and developing employees
  • Very good IT and MS Office skills, especially in SAP R/3 and Excel
  • Experience in the area of data analytics or business intelligence
  • Excellent analytical skills and numerical reasoning
  • Fluent in written and spoken  English, other foreign languages would be an advantage
  • Successfully completed studies in business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, logistics management or business administration (IHK)
  • Team spirit, high level of initiative and very good communication skills
  • Assertive, positive personality with pleasure in team leadership and development of employees
  • Willingness to travel internationally
