MAHLE Smartbike Systems - Prototype Technician (Mechanic)

The Prototype Technician will plan, define and execute the test campaigns for the validation/verification of the different E-Bike project throughout the project development, until market release. As Prototype Technician it is important to take a closer look at the parts like batteries, drive units and connection interfaces, also to understand and analyze the can bus traces and have a deeper look to the software architecture. Setting up fields and operating the test benches is also part of this position. Furthermore there will be direct contact with the development engineering teams to suppor in the development activities and troubleshooting/investigations.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Knowledge of mechanical assemblies.

• Analyze mechanical drawings and assembly drawings.

• To use various hand tools: torque wrench, vernier calipes, precision press, etc.

• Knowing how to work with delicate parts, careful with the assemblies, dimensions, etc.

• Organized and structured person in the workshop.

Your Skills & Strengths

• Background in Industrial or Mechanical field.
• English (Intermediate - High).
• Experience with Electronic and Mechanical parts related to E-bikes is advantageous.
• Experience in using and creating presentations and documentation.
• Strong mechanical knowledge.
• Teamwork spirit.
• Cycling enthusiast.
• 1-3 years as mechanical/electronical technician.
