MAHLE Mechanical Engineering Team Leader Smartbike Systems -

The Mechanical Engineering Team Leader will be the responsible for the global built up and management of a new Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Team and a strong interaction in the Mechatronics field. The position will coordinate with other MAHLE entities inside the R&D teams, will interact with suppliers, clients and different partners.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Planning and establishing of the needed resources to to allow a proper development towards the Development Process.

• Leadership on development and design processes in the Electrical and Mechanical area.

• Provides mechatronics engineering recommendations and support in engineering reviews, strategic plans and project.

• Supply dedicated support in Drive Unit, e-machine and motors topics, especially in the tolerancing and concentricity areas.

• To manage budgeting and resource planning.

• To ensure on-time product development by collaborating with other leaders to estimate reasonable and precise schedules and solve problems quickly.

• To create quality validation, and evaluation requirements and tests.

Your Skills & Strengths

• Mechatronics and/or mechanics or electrical engineering or BSc Physics Profile.
• More than 10 years' experience in the mechatronics tasks.
• Experience leading technical teams.
• Experience with mechanic and electronic designs, specially motor and electrical machine design.
• Knowledge on designing R&D processes.
• Knowledge of the principles and equipment of an electric bike would be advantageous.
• Experience in problem solving and scheduling action plans.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• English C1 level.
