MAHLE Smartbike Systems -Lead of Software Development / Software Architect Lead

You will support our team in developing our Web and Mobile products. We are looking for someone with a hands-on background in software app development who can add strategic guidance, coaching and leadership to both mentor and improve our development team. Whilst this role is mostly focused on strategic aims, we are looking for a "Player-Manager" type of person, someone who isn't afraid to get stuck in and help code or problem where required.

You will responsible for ensuring that deadlines are met. You will also be responsible for the designing and implementing the goals for the software development projects your team is in charge of. It will be your task to select the proper architecture for the application's platform, coordinating all the technologies to be used (Mobile, full stack, database, Web, etc.) as well to ensure the software meets the proper standards and adheres to market research, design the software document and proper protocol, and to maintain the software components.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Lead our Software Development team, covering data ingestions and analysis, facing web applications and aspects of DevOps and infrastructrure.

• Manage the development lifecycle of software products.

• Stay tunned with market trends and new developments, recommending new tools, technologies or processes where appropriate.

• Grow and develop a team of exceptional software developers.

• Research new technologies to strengthen the organization.

• Oversee, create and implement software products and applications.

• Plan, direct and coordinate the actions of the development team.

• Responsible for technology delivery.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the organization.

• Act as a liaison between the department and senior leadership.

• Define the architecture of the full platform to archive the requirements of the digital product roadmap.

Your Skills & Strengths

• More than 3 years experience in a similar position with proven experience.
• Experience with software development and knowledge of software design principles and best practices, the ability to guide the team to develop best in class software.
• Knowledfe of cloud server and service architectures like AWS and similar.
• Deep knowledge about databases.
• Experience with infrastructure, Cloud and DevOps practices and tools.
• Experience managing teams and project. Knowledge in software design and testing. Knowledge in cloud environments and DevOps management.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of the main code languages as C, C++, Java, Phyton, Kotlin...etc.
• Experience in mobile developments projects.
• Experience in problem solving and scheduling action plans.
• Team management experience.
• C1 of English.
