Your Contribution

As an HSE Representative reporting to the Plant Manager, you will confer and cooperate with management personnel with OSHA standards and requirements.

 

  • Reviews and analyzes expenditure, financial and operations reports to determine requirements for obtaining safety goals for each facility and company goals

  • Prepares recommendations on findings for management evaluation

  • Recommends and signs off on acquisition of new equipment (Safety requirements only)

  • Ensure a safe work environment for all employees

  • Ensures compliance with OSHA/TOSHA standards, legal codes, fire codes, and local regulations

  • Ensures compliance with EPA regulations, as required

  • Worker’s Compensation Administrator including reporting results, monitoring costs, and coordinating with Workers’ Compensation Third Party Administrator

  • Record keeping for all OSHA/TOSHA, worker’s compensation, and training documentation

  • Development and facilitation of plant Safety Committee and Responder Teams

  • Administration of Emergency Response plans for all facilities

Your Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in safety related field preferred, or related work experience equivalent.  Certification in industrial safety should be obtained within two (2) years of placement in this position

  • Must be able to facilitate meetings

  • Must have strong administrative and presentation skills

  • Knowledgeable in use of spreadsheets (Excel) processing (Word) software, and Lotus Notes a must
