Thermal Maintenance Supervisor
Your Role & Responsibilities
The Thermal Maintenance Supervisor will manage their team to achieve the goals of the plant while delivering operational improvements which will result in bottom line, quantified results. This role will focus is the cost optimization of MAHLE’s manufacturing process through the strategic development and allocation of MAHLE’s technical resources while supporting the creation of a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture.
- Support the MPS deployment by creating a lean and continuous improvement roadmap that includes a comprehensive analysis and prioritization of key opportunities. Include and engage cross functional members at all levels of the organization as well as execute initiatives that will drive sustainable results.
- Work closely with the Plant teams to drive and foster a cultural transformation through the business by building effective matrix teams and driving involvement and talent multiplication to deliver successful productivity, cost reduction and/or quality improvement initiatives.
- Support the business to improve and simplify existing processes and ensure capability of the new ones to drive reliability, predictability, and efficiency.
- Manage the following technical teams: Maintenance, Thermal
- Conduct studies in cost, quality, productivity, flow, and root cause analysis.
- Directs department personnel in establishing standards and policies for the standardization, selection, installation, modification, operating procedure, inspection, and maintenance of equipment and tooling. Establishes the leadership for effective maintenance schedules for all equipment.
- Strong understanding and control of safety codes to realize the impact of potential working hazards.
Your Skills & Strengths
- Bachelor’s Degree desired, 10 years of Engineering or Maintenance experience required.
- Automotive manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
- Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt Certification is strongly preferred.
- Proven understanding & successful application of Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies including Lean and Six Sigma.
- Ability to handle projects with multiple work streams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of business problems.
- Proven & effective facilitation, leadership, mentoring, and training skills.
