Your Contribution

• Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation. This includes advanced quality planning documents, forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data.
• Assists Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) team with quality issues on new product launches including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Participates in defect/scrap reduction activities.
• Maintains records of and controls disposition of "Hold For Inspection" (discrepant) items.
• Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
• Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
• Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts or products to measure performance, life or material characteristics.
• Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.
• Maintains quality records in an orderly manner.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer with the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities
• Quality Injection Molding experience
• GD&T Proficient
• T1 Automotive Manufacturing experience required
• IATF16949 experience required.
• VDA auditor certified preferred
• ERP Systems experience required; SAP preferred
• PPAP, APQP experience required
• Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is a plus
