Your Role & Responsibilities

The Mold Technician will be responsible for making design specific injection molds for the manufacturing process.

  • Developing, constructing and altering a wide variety of jigs, fixtures, gauges, and molds.
  • Perform assignments that range from the use of ordinary tool room operations to work involving accurate relationships and extremely close tolerances.
  • Plan construction procedures and methods, selecting the proper materials.
  • Identify and correct problems in complicated dies and tools.
  • Perform work and machine set-ups and operate all tool room equipment including; lathes, drill presses, vertical milling machines, TIG Welding, cylindrical and surface grinders.
  • Perfom bench works such as: component disassembly, precision fitting, polish, assembly troubleshooting, and adjustments using a variety of hand tools.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches drawings, manual, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and set up requirements.
  • Ability to work all designated shifts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Skills & Strengths

  •  High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in injection mold troubleshooting, retrofits, improvements and repairs.
  • Journeyman or equivalent years of experience in tooling.
  • Strong analysis, problem solving, process and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Dynamic communication / inter-personal skills.
  • Highly organized and possess good decision-making skills.
