The Head of HSE will develop and implement strategic Health & Safety systems within the company and ensure and monitor compliance with those and all relevant legislation.

 

Your contribution:

 

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations on behalf of the company.
  • Implement, monitor and advise on strategic Health & Safety Management systems.
  • To develop, coordinate, implement and monitor safe working systems and processes.
  • Prepare and implement regulations to establish a positive Health and Safety culture. 
  • To develop and implement training plans which ensure all employees receive training necessary to ensure compliance.
  • Highlight areas where poor practice and/or significant risk have occurred and prepare, in conjunction with line managers, remedial plans.
  • Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risks and comply with the law.
  • Conduct training and presentations on health and safety issues and accident prevention.
  • Monitor compliance with regulations and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe situations.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents to detect causes and handle workers' compensation claims.
  • Recommend solutions to problems, opportunities for improvement or new prevention measures.
  • Report on health and safety awareness, problems, and statistics.
  • Manage and lead the department's personnel.

 

Your experience and Qualifications:

  • Master on Health and Safety with 3 specialities (safety, hygiene, ergonomics-psycho-sociology).
  • +5 years experience on HSE departments. 
  • Experience in similar position on production plants with +500 employees. 
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organized and planning character.
  • Efficient management of large volumes of data.
  • Efficiency and facility in the resolution of possible conflicts due to labor risks.
  • Leadership and ability to make decisions.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and in a multidisciplinary manner.
  • Languages: Spanish, English (C1 / Fluent)
