Your Contribution 

 

As a Supplier Quality Engineer - Pistons reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, you will be responsible developing incoming inspection plans, problem solving, auditing, PPAP, APQP and driving continuous improvement activities with our suppliers.

 

This role is responsible to:

  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation of productive components.
  • Directs the activities of the supplier quality assurance program within the plant, including component part approval, supplier audits and quality improvements.
  • Develops training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities for supplier quality personnel.
  • Leads the advance quality planning process (APQP) for component suppliers, including selection of vendors for packaging.
  • Leads supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for component suppliers and ensures the supplied part meets all Drawing, International, MAHLE, and Customer requirements.
  • Manages customer/supplier needs/expectations and build a healthy working relationship with the customer/supplier.

 

Your Experience & Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • 3 years of experience as Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer
  • Professional experience in an Automotive or Aerospace Manufacturing Environment
  • Strong Quality Systems knowledge (IATF 16949)
