Your Contribution
As a Chemical Engineer – Industrial Maintenance reporting to the Supervisor of Operations Technical Services, you will be responsible to research, plan and assist in the design and improvement of current and new manufacturing, facility, and lab processes relating to chemical, use, handling, storage, disposal and engineered systems.
This role is responsible to:
- Research and analyze current chemical processes to verify the proper application of, and recommend improvements to, the consumption, compliance, safety, quality and capacity of these processes.
- Research and develop new chemical processes, instructions, checks and controls to ensure the product or process meets environmental, engineering, and customer requirements. These checks include measurement and control of chemical concentration, temperature, process time, viscosity, cleanliness, and other chemical related measurements.
- Reviews and recommend updates to process documentation, which pertain to chemical processes in manufacturing, facility, and lab areas.
- Coordinate Continuous Improvement Activities Coordination for wet and/or gas fired processes and waste streams.
- Provide production support of wet chemical processes.
- Management of Wastewater Pre-Treatment Plant.
- Process monitoring and environmental waste management.
- Collaborate with other engineers in the development of new equipment specifications.
- Research and analyze data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Develop and conduct training of various personnel, in the collection of samples, and the use of test equipment and apparatus to ensure proper inspection methods and procedures are used for required chemical evaluations.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
- 1-3 years of professional experience related to Industrial Processing and Environmental Waste Management in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with Wet Chemical processing technologies required.
